Enhancing our community; sharing our humanity

Sedgwick Middle School welcomes you!  The purpose of our website is to provide a means for our school community to access helpful information about the dynamic aspects of Sedgwick Middle School. We hope that our website serves as a user-friendly resource for you.

Our faculty and staff are proud of our school and strive to personally know, challenge and celebrate all children. We believe that all students can achieve at high levels and to that end, we set high expectations, promote academic rigor, develop positive character, honor diversity, and engage students in a safe and student-centered environment.  All of this is made possible through strong partnerships with parents. Together, our commitment to student success will allow our children to thrive.

The WHPS IT Services Department has launched a new Frequently Asked  Questions webpage on our school district website!  It can be found under "Offices-->Information Technology Services" on our district website or by clicking here.



Wednesday, April 30, 2014, 7 p.m., Whiting Lane SchoolOffice of Health Care Advocate for the State of Connecticut will discuss "Managing to Get the Most from Your Health Care Insurer.” The advocates are here to help us get reimbursement from our insurance agency for our children.  They can teach us the appropriate language to use when dealing with the insurance companies.  If you have any questions about this meeting, please contact Lisa Roland at

Come meet with other parents whose children receive services through the West Hartford Public Schools.  Look for the SEPTA sign on the table, usually in the back of the restaurant.
